about
Didn’t I Do Well’ is about digging a hole through the centre of the earth, melting halfway through, and coming out the other side. The song is arranged to wedge you between all the elements. You’re being told a story but you’re also in the story. The only way out from compression can be down, but on the other side it’s sweet and it’s cool.
